Pendulum HealthCare Development Corporation Adds New Professional Affiliate

Pendulum HealthCare Development Corporation is pleased to announce that Sheldon K. Gulinson became affiliated with the firm November 1, 2009. He will be assisting the firm’s clients in developing community based benchmarking consortiums and joint ventures, and in building new coalitions of providers and payers in the South, East, and Midwest.

With more than 30 years of experience, Mr. Gulinson brings special expertise in such areas as inpatient and outpatient operations, managed care, start-ups, marketing, business development, and operations improvement. He has worked extensively with C-suite level executives, boards of directors, and physicians. He is uniquely qualified to bring diverse individuals, groups, and organizations together to develop and operationalize creative solutions and initiatives, including joint ventures that improve availability, quality, and efficiency of care delivery while maintaining focus on patients and employees.
Mr. Gulinson has served as a hospital chief financial officer; as a senior hospital association executive; in senior executive roles with a managed care organization; and in executive roles with a manager of hospital support service department, a post acute services provider, and a hospital management and consulting firm.
An affiliate of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), he has also served on ACHE Regent’s Advisory Councils. He was a founder of the Chicago Area Hospital Planning and Marketing Association and was awarded honorary membership in the Chicago Health Executives Forum. He was president twice of the Duke University Health and Hospital Administration Alumni Association. He currently serves, as he did once previously, as a member of the Duke University Fuqua School of Business Alumni Council and is a member of the Triangle Health Executive Forum.
